What does the cambelt do?

The cambelt is designed to keep the top and the bottom halves of the engine in sync with one another.

How often does the cambelt need changing?

Most manufacturers recommend getting your cambelt changed every 5 years or every 40,000-60,000 miles depending on the manufacturer.
